Dual Humanized Mice

Mice model with human immune and liver system

Ideal for: General Immunology, Hepatitis, NASH

READ MORE ABOUT ITS APPLICATIONS IN

Dual Humanized Mice is a valuable mouse model stably reconstituted with human immune system and human hepatocytes. In this model, human CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells and primary human hepatocytes are transplanted consecutively into our proprietary FAH knock-out mice (Fah–/–Nod-Scid-IL2rg–/–). After 18-20 weeks of reconstitution, dual humanized mice are found to possess high level of human hepatocytes repopulation and hCD45+ leucocytes. This model serves as a valuable tool to study the effect of therapeutic treatments in a more complex living organism, which provides more insights in pharmacodynamics/ pharmacokinetics (PD/PK) aspect. In addition, interaction of immune and liver cells is also important to investigate the potential immune-induced liver toxicity in new drug discovery.

Features of DHM

Our DHM has been stably engrafted with human immune lineage such as CD3+ T-cells, CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T-cells, Natural Killer (NK) cells, monocytes and CD19+ B-cells, and good engraftment levels of human hepatocytes in mouse liver (proven by detection of human Albumin in peripheral blood). All DHM has a normal body weight which steadily increases over time without any signs of Graft vs. Host Disease (GvHD).

Given the complexity of human disease, in-depth knowledge of each model is key to success in pre-clinical studies. Invivocue offers tailor-made study designs to suit your research needs.
